28 Aug LIFE’S 24th Annual ‘Lady in Red’ Gala Will Be ‘Over The Moon’

Fab Four To Headline January 5th, 2018 Event At The Breakers

The Beatles may have sang that “Here Comes The Sun” but when The Fab Four, the definitive Beatles tribute group that has been wowing Las Vegas audiences for years, headlines LIFE’s 24th Annual Lady in Red Gala on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at The Breakers, the 500-plus expected guests are sure to be “over the moon.”  The sizzling “star-studded” night of entertainment, with its an “Over the Moon Vegas to Palm Beach” theme, begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the beautiful music of the Palm Beach Symphony.  The fun continues with dinner and entertainment by The Fab Four, after which revelers will dance the night away to the fabulous sounds of Soul Survivors.

Chairs of the gala are Lois Pope, Dr. Robin Ganzert, Jan and Chip Malley and Robin and Irv Saltzman.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit LIFE’s partnership with American Humane, the oldest organization in America for the welfare and well-being of pets and children.  Ms. Pope and LIFE support such American Humane initiatives as the renowned Red Star Rescue, which provides emergency services on site to animals lost and in need of treatment and temporary housing due to hurricanes, tornados and other disasters, as well as those victimized by abuse; the annual Hero Dog Awards, which honor courageous canines who serve as arson, military, law enforcement, therapy, hearing and guide dogs; and the Lois Pope LIFE Center for Military Affairs, which offers an array of initiatives benefitting disabled veterans, military families and military dogs.

Lois Pope LIFE/American Humane programs in Palm Beach County include a large Pet Mobile for adoption purposes and rescue service during times of emergency.

About Lois Pope, The Lois Pope LIFE Foundation, Inc., & LIFE (Leaders in Furthering Education)

As one of America’s leading philanthropists, Lois Pope has positively impacted the lives of individuals at the local, national and international levels.  She has established three different organizations dedicated to helping those in need.  These organizations are the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation, Inc., Leaders In Furthering Education (LIFE), and the Disabled Veterans’ Life Memorial Foundation.  Over the last 20 years she has been the driving force behind the Lois Pope LIFE Center at the University of Miami School of Medicine, The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, a summer camp program serving thousands of underprivileged children and groundbreaking programs with American Humane. Lois Pope has donated three Lois Pope Red Star Vehicles. Each rescue vehicle is a 50-foot long response unit, complete with a Ford F-350 truck and trailer, which is specifically designed and outfitted to provide an array of emergency services within the region. She has also produced two documentaries with award winning director Ric Burns highlighting the plight of disabled veterans in our country, Debt of Honor and VA: THE HUMAN COST OF WAR.  Further honoring our veterans and thanks Mrs. Pope’s advocacy, October 5 was declared an appropriate national day each year to honor American Veterans Disabled for Life.  The day was authorized late last year through a resolution introduced in Congress by Rep. Lois Frankel and included in a veterans’ health bill sponsored by Rep. Jeff Miller and Sen. Richard Blumenthal.  We will observe the inaugural commemoration this coming October 5 at the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington DC.
