LIFE Proceeds Go Towards The LIFE Summer Camp Program
Millions of American school-aged children are living in poverty. Many of these underprivileged children will spend their summer without adult supervision - a situation that can have dire consequences if they become involved with drugs or crime. Most often this situation arises because parents or guardians simply cannot afford a summer day camp program.
The LIFE Board of Directors has made the decision to dedicate themselves to raising funds to keep underprivileged children off the streets during the summer by sending them to camp. It costs a mere $350 to send a child to camp for the entire summer.
In the past 16 years LIFE fundraising events have raised enough funds to send more than 14,500 children to camp. LIFE's Summer Camp Program benefits underprivileged and special needs children in Florida who live in households which fall below the national poverty level...this includes homeless and special needs children.
We urge each and every person who is able, to do everything in their power to help those less fortunate than themselves. We must take care of our children, for they are indeed the future of this great country.
